Nearby highways, such as Autoroute Robert-Cliche, are very easy to reach from any home in this part of the city, and it is very convenient to park. In contrast, the public transit system in this area is not especially accessible. Nevertheless, the neighbourhood is linked by over 50 bus lines, and bus stops are not very far away from most houses. Despite the fact that there are a fair number of bike lanes, and some bicycling-friendly pockets can be found, it is occasionally challenging to get around by bicycle in Saint-Louis because cyclists are faced with a considerable amount of slopes. Walking in this part of the city is also not very popular, although many daily needs can be met without the use of a vehicle.


A grocery store is typically accessible within a reasonably short walk from any location in this part of Québec. Additionally, a restaurant is commonly just around the corner, and there are also a few coffee shops in this area. Saint-Louis is a good neighbourhood to buy a house in for those who prefer a slower-paced ambience. This area is reasonably quiet overall, as the streets tend to be tranquil - however noise can be an issue near the railway line, Autoroute Robert-Cliche or Autoroute Duplessis. Lastly, parks, such as Parc du Domaine-des-Retraités and Promenade Samuel-De Champlain, are especially well-located and there are a few of them close by for residents to unwind in, making them easy to access.
