This city is also not particularly conducive to those who travel by foot since running daily errands is occasionally difficult.

Families will find that wherever their home is located in this city, primary schools are close by. However, high schools are not particularly abundant and consequently not always within walking distance. Along with public schools, there are private primary and secondary schools. In terms of food, it is easy to get to the nearest supermarket by walking from anywhere in Québec. Residents are served by over 1500 restaurants and cafes as well.

People who prefer a calm environment will enjoy Québec. There are over 450 parks close by for residents to visit, like Centre de plein air de Beauport and Parc Chauveau, resulting in them being easy to get to from most locations within Québec. Most areas in this city are quiet, as the streets are usually peaceful - although there are still several noisier areas, especially close to Autoroute Duplessis, Autoroute 573, one of the railway lines or the airport (YQB).
