Lévis

Lévis is a city located in the Greater Québec City metropolitan area, which is part of Quebec, Canada.

Housing

Single detached homes are the most common housing type, representing about half of dwellings in Lévis, but small apartment buildings and townhouses are also present in the housing stock. Roughly 30% of properties in this city were built in the 1960s and 1970s, while the majority of the remaining buildings were constructed pre-1960 and in the 1980s. This city has a good variety of housing sizes, ranging from lofts to four or more bedrooms. About two thirds of the population of this city own their home and the rest are renters.

Transportation

The preferred method of transportation in Lévis is usually a car. Many properties for sale are a reasonably short car ride from the nearest highway, such as Autoroute Robert-Cliche, and it is very convenient to come across a place to park. However, Lévis is not very transit friendly. Nevertheless, house owners are served by over 50 bus lines, and bus stops are not very far away from most residences. It is impractical for people walking to navigate this part of the Greater Québec City metropolitan area because carrying out daily needs is difficult.

Services

Reaching one of over 50 supermarkets by walking is feasible for some, but not all, property owners in Lévis. A limited number of restaurants are available in this city as well. When it comes to education, it can be challenging to walk to high schools and primary schools from houses for sale in Lévis. In addition to public schools, there are private elementary and secondary schools. Furthermore, daycares are not particularly abundant and therefore not always within walking distance.

Character

Most areas in Lévis are quiet, as the streets are usually quite calm - although there are still several louder sections, especially closer to one of the railway lines, Autoroute Jean-Lesage or Autoroute Robert-Cliche. Parks are distributed sporadically, making it occasionally difficult to get to them. Still, there are over 150 public green spaces close by for residents to visit, like La Grande Plée-Bleue and Écoparc de la rivière Etchemin.
