The favoured way to get around in Windfields is usually a car. Parking is quite easy. However, Windfields is not very transit friendly. Thankfully, there are a few bus lines passing through the neighbourhood, and bus stops are not very far from most homes. It is inconvenient for pedestrians to move around in this part of Oshawa since most daily needs are impractical to meet without the use of a car.

It is a reasonably short walk to reach primary schools from most houses for sale in this part of the city. On the other hand, Windfields does not contain any high schools. As far as food is concerned, it is very rarely practical for home buyers in this neighbourhood to do grocery shopping on foot.
