In terms of education, it is a reasonably short walk to reach primary schools from anywhere in this part of the Greater Toronto metropolitan area. However, parents may consider it challenging for their children to reach high schools as a pedestrian. Residents benefit from public and private schools at both the elementary and high school level.

Character

Oakville offers a calm ambience and will appeal to those who enjoy spending time outdoors. This town is fairly good for those who need quiet surroundings, as the streets are usually quite tranquil - although that is not the case closer to Queen Elizabeth Way, Highway 403 or the railway line. Finally, there are over 350 green spaces nearby for residents to check out, like Neyagawa Woods and Iroquois Shoreline Wood, which makes it very easy to reach them from the majority of locations within Oakville.
