This neighbourhood is an extremely convenient part of Kitchener for getting around by car. It is very convenient to find a parking spot, and it is a rather short drive to the closest highway, such as Highway 8, from any home in Hidden Valley. However, this neighbourhood is not an especially convenient part of Kitchener for travelling by public transit. It is impractical for pedestrians to get around in Hidden Valley since few daily errands can be run on foot. This part of the city is also not very appropriate for biking since the cycling infrastructure is not very comprehensive, and riding is made strenuous by the often hilly topography.
Services
Families will welcome the proximity to both primary and secondary schools, which are within walking distance from the majority of properties for sale in this part of Kitchener. In contrast, families may find it very difficult for their kids to access daycares as a pedestrian. Concerning food, reaching the nearest grocery store by walking is practical for some, but not all, house buyers in this area.
Character
There is a wide selection of green spaces in Hidden Valley. There are a few parks close by for residents to unwind in, such as River Birch Park, making them very easy to reach from the majority of locations within the neighbourhood. Lastly, due to the presence of very few people out and about on the streets, this neighbourhood is relatively serene.
