The best method to get around in this area is very often driving. Many houses for sale are a short car ride from the closest highway, such as Highway 401, and it is especially convenient to find a parking spot. On the other hand, travelling by transit can be challenging in this neighbourhood by reason of the low service level. Nonetheless, the neighbourhood is served by a few bus lines, and most properties are very close to a bus stop. This area is not very cycling-friendly since cyclists are faced with quite a few hills, and there are few bike lanes. It is also challenging for pedestrians to get around in this neighbourhood as very few daily errands can be run on foot.

Daycares and primary schools are convenient to get to on foot from most homes for sale in Centennial. In contrast, it can be difficult to get to high schools as a pedestrian. Concerning eating, the nearest supermarket in Centennial is generally only a rather short walk away. There are also a limited number of opportunities for those who appreciate nearby restaurants and cafes.
Character
The noise levels in Centennial are reasonably low, as the streets tend to be quite tranquil - although there are still several louder areas, especially closer to Highway 401 or the railway line. Parks aren't well-distributed, making them sometimes difficult to access from the majority of locations in this part of Cambridge. Despite that, there are a few green spaces nearby for residents to check out.
