Driving is an excellent means of transportation in this city. It is a rather short car ride to the nearest highway from any location in St. John's, and it is very convenient to park. In contrast, this city is not very transit friendly. Nevertheless, there are approximately 20 bus lines, and the closest bus stop is usually a short walk away. St. John's is not very conducive to walking as almost no common errands can be run on foot.
