Transportation
The preferred method of transportation in Westmount is very often driving. It is very easy to access a parking spot, and it is a short drive to the nearest highway, such as Trans-Canada Highway, from anywhere in this part of West Vancouver. In contrast, Westmount is not very transit friendly. Thankfully, the neighbourhood is linked by a few bus lines, and the closest bus stop is usually very close. Walking is not very practical for property owners in Westmount as very few day-to-day needs can be carried out on foot. This neighbourhood is also not very conducive to bicycling because there are very few bike lanes, and riding is made arduous by the often steep topography.
Services
Primary schools are easy to get to on foot from most houses for sale in Westmount. On the other hand, there are no high schools in this part of West Vancouver. As far as food is concerned, in all but a very small number of cases, a vehicle is needed in Westmount to access the closest supermarket.
Character
There is a reasonably good selection of green spaces in Westmount. Parks are very well-spread out and there are a few of them nearby for residents to explore, which results in them being easy to reach from the majority of locations within the neighbourhood. Finally, as there are very few pedestrians, this part of the municipality remains relatively quiet.
