This area is very car friendly. Many real estate listings are a reasonably short car ride from the nearest highway, such as Trans-Canada Highway, and accessing a parking spot is quite easy. In contrast, British Properties is not very transit friendly. Nonetheless, the neighbourhood is connected by a few bus lines, and bus stops are not very far away from most homes. British Properties is not very convenient for walking since very few common errands can be run without the use of a vehicle. It is also very hard to get around by bike in British Properties as riding a bicycle is made difficult by the typically hilly terrain, and the cycling network is not very well-developed.

There are only a limited number of primary schools in this area and thus they can be a long walk away. Likewise, this neighbourhood does not have any high schools. Moreover, there are only a few daycares and therefore they can be a rather long walk away. When it comes to eating, doing one's groceries usually demands the use of a car in British Properties.

Home buyers who prefer a calm atmosphere will enjoy British Properties. This area is very quiet, as the streets tend to be very tranquil. Lastly, green spaces are very easy to access, since there are over 50 of them close by for residents to relax in and most houses have a park around the corner.
