Most homes for sale in this part of the municipality are located in places that are quite conducive to walking; many common errands can be run on foot. Even though biking is better in some sectors than others, Ambleside is not very suited for biking since there is a significant amount of hills, and the bicycling network is rather poor. The public transit system in Ambleside is not particularly practical. Thankfully, there are a few bus lines passing through the neighbourhood, and bus stops are generally nearby. On the other hand, cars are a very good transportation option in Ambleside. Nearby highways, such as Trans-Canada Highway, are very easy to reach from any location in this part of the municipality, and it is convenient to find a parking spot.

A supermarket is ordinarily reachable within a reasonably short walk from most homes for sale in this part of the municipality. Residents can enjoy approximately 30 restaurants and coffee shops as well. With respect to education, daycares and schools are convenient to access on foot from any location in this part of West Vancouver.
Character
Ambleside is a good neighbourhood to buy a home in for those who prefer a relaxed ambience. There are around 10 green spaces nearby for residents to discover and they are very well-spread out, making them very easy to access. This area is also fairly good for those who need a quiet atmosphere, as the streets are generally tranquil - however some parts can be quite noisy, especially close to Trans-Canada Highway or the railway line.
