Transportation
The car is very often the preferred approach to get around in Squamish. The majority of real estate listings are a reasonably short drive from the closest highway, and it is very easy to park. However, Squamish is not very transit friendly. Nonetheless, the municipality is served by a few bus lines, and most houses are close to a bus stop. Walking is not very feasible for house buyers in Squamish because running daily errands is very challenging on foot.

Apart from public schools, there are private elementary and high schools.
