However, Shellmont is not very transit friendly. Nonetheless, the neighbourhood is served by approximately 10 bus lines, and it is very easy to get to a nearby bus stop from most houses. This part of the city is not especially conducive to cycling since the cycling network is not very comprehensive. Nevertheless, there are a limited number of elevation changes for cyclists to brave. Walking is also not very feasible for property owners in Shellmont as very few daily errands can be run without the use of a car.
