However, travelling by bicycle is very hard in Westview since the cycling infrastructure is quite bad, and riding is rendered arduous by the often steep terrain. The public transit network in Westview is not very convenient. Thankfully, the neighbourhood is connected by a few bus lines, and the closest bus stop is typically just around the corner. In contrast, the car is very often the best mode of transportation in this neighbourhood. Nearby highways, such as Trans-Canada Highway, are especially easy to access from anywhere in Westview, and parking is generally easy.


It is very easy to reach both a general and a specialty grocery store by walking from any location in this area. Furthermore, Westview is a good place in which to go out to eat or go to a cafe. When it comes to education, schools and daycares are easy to get to on foot from any location in this neighbourhood.


Despite the somewhat busy feel, there are a lot of green spaces to enjoy in Westview. There are a few parks nearby for residents to unwind in and they are very well-situated, which results in them being very easy to reach from many locations within Westview. Finally, this part of City of North Vancouver is relatively quiet, thanks to the presence of few pedestrians; however there can be more noise for those who are around Trans-Canada Highway.
