Physically active people will appreciate the pedestrian-friendly nature of this part of District of North Vancouver; many daily needs can be carried out by walking. In contrast, it is difficult to move around by bike in Lions Gate since riding is made strenuous by the often hilly terrain, and the bicycling network is quite poor. The public transit service in Lions Gate is not particularly frequent. Nonetheless, there are a few bus lines passing through the neighbourhood, and the closest bus stop is usually very close. However, getting around by car is very easy in Lions Gate. Most homes for sale are a very short drive from the closest highway, such as Trans-Canada Highway, and it is easy to park.

It is convenient to access the closest grocery store by walking in this area. Additionally, a restaurant is often just around the corner. With regards to education, this part of District of North Vancouver does not contain any high schools or primary schools. Likewise, families may consider it difficult to access daycares on foot.

Lions Gate offers a relaxed ambience and will appeal to home buyers who enjoy spending time in green spaces. It is very easy to access parks since there are a few of them close by for residents to check out. This part of District of North Vancouver is quiet overall, as the streets are generally reasonably calm - although there are still several louder areas, especially closer to Trans-Canada Highway.
