Transportation
Sumas Prairie is especially car friendly. Parking is generally easy. This area is not very well-suited for those who travel by foot because meeting daily needs is very challenging.
Services
In all cases, a vehicle is needed to purchase groceries in one of about 10 stores. Regarding education, there are only a very small number of primary schools in this part of the city and consequently they can be a very long walk away. Moreover, Sumas Prairie does not have any high schools. In addition, it can be very difficult to get to daycares on foot.
Character
Sumas Prairie is quiet, as there are generally low levels of noise from traffic - however some parts can be quite loud, especially close to Trans-Canada Highway or the railway line. Parks are distributed sporadically, making it rather challenging to access them. Still, there are approximately 10 public green spaces close by for residents to relax in.
