Transportation

South Poplar is very car friendly. It is a rather short car ride to the closest highway, such as Trans-Canada Highway, from any home in this neighbourhood, and parking is easy. However, the public transit service in South Poplar is not very frequent. Nonetheless, the neighbourhood is connected by a few bus lines. South Poplar is not very suitable for walking as running common errands is impractical.

Services

There are only a few primary schools in this part of the city and thus they can be a rather long walk away. Furthermore, South Poplar does not have any high schools. Moreover, there are only a very small number of daycares and therefore they can be a very long walk away. When it comes to food, home buyers in this part of the city usually have to turn to a car to access the nearest grocery store. There are also a few cafes in South Poplar.

Character

South Poplar is reasonably quiet overall, as there are generally low levels of noise from traffic - although that is not the case near Trans-Canada Highway. Parks are distributed sporadically, resulting in them being rather challenging to reach from most locations within this neighbourhood. Still, there are a few public green spaces nearby for residents to visit.
