The fairly good public transit infrastructure makes transit a viable option for many as a result of McKernan/Belgravia Station with access to the Capital Line and Metro Line, and a few nearby bus lines. Regarding education, in this neighbourhood, parents and their schoolchildren will usually be able to access primary schools and daycares by walking. In contrast, there are no high schools in McKernan.
